Publisher Tiers mechanism allows protecting buyers from low-quality publishers by ranking publishers according to six specific tiers (Excellent, Very good, Good, Fair, Below average, Poor), which correspond to different quality score categories for lead sources.
What Publisher Tiers Mean
When the publisher is created, it has Good tier by default, unless there is a specific agreement between a publisher and PX platform when another tier is set manually (for example, publisher tier is set to Excellent in order to give the publisher a head start).
After the first 25 leads are sent from the publisher to PX, the system analyses the information and calculates the source quality score per each combination of publisher-sub ID-site ID based on many indicators.
According to Source Quality Distribution configurations, each tier corresponds to a particular source quality category per vertical (Excellent, Very good, Good, Fair, Below average or Poor).
Publisher Tier is a dynamic value, which is constantly calculated based on source quality scores per each combination of Publisher-Sub ID-Site in real time. That is why it is important for a publisher to have a positive relationship history with PX and high lead quality scores.
The higher the publisher's tier is, the more campaigns are proposed to buy his Leads. Therefore, publisher tier has a direct relationship to publisher's margin.
Publisher tier is set during the publisher registration and can be edited later if needed.
