Private source is the source of the publisher that sells their leads privately to one or several buyers. Private sources are available only to campaigns of the connected buyers, and their leads don't participate in the public lead flow.
Private sources feature allows buyers to connect their sources to PX and disable them from other buyers. This helps buyers have one centralized place for all their sources with a detailed statistic about them offered by PX, making customer acquisition easier.
How to setup private source flow
To make sources of the publisher private and sell their leads to only one or several specific buyers, create a direct connection between publisher and buyers in PX.
1. Go to Admin -> Buyers, find the desired buyer and click Edit. Navigate to Private sources block and enable private sources for this buyer.
As soon as private source flow is enabled for the buyer, a customized API specification can be created for this buyer.
2. Create a new publisher and set Margin to 100%.
As soon as the publisher is connected to at least one buyer, all sources of this publisher become private, available only to campaigns of the connected buyer(s), and their leads don't take part in the general lead flow. For this reason, it is recommended to create a separate publisher account for the private source flow.
3. Go to Publisher settings and set branded account type for it.
Navigate to Private sourcing block and connect it with the buyer that already has private sources enabled.
Connect as many buyers as you need.
All leads of private publishers become available only to campaigns of the connected buyers, and they don't take part in the general lead flow. Connected buyers, however, can buy leads from both private and public sources.
Make sure that the private source (publisher or site) is prioritized in Source management if Selective sources mode is set for the campaign.
Where to track private sources
Track and manage all private sources that have ever been connected to the private marketplace on My sources page.
