Each publisher in PX has one of the account types: API or common. Account type of the publisher can be set in publisher settings.
There're two groups of common publishers in PX:
- lead publishers that place links on their websites and bring traffic to PX forms. As soon as the customer fills in the form with contact data and vertical-specific information, the form converts this information into the lead request and sends it to PX. This means that common publishers don't deal with any leads, they bring traffic to the lead forms that belong to PX.
- call publishers that post DID numbers or Click to Call buttons on their websites. When customers click on it, the certain campaign's number is dialed.

API publishers use their own sources of lead generation and send their requests with leads directly to PX API using vertical specifications. These publishers can use either ping post or direct post posting type.
API publishers don't use offers in the platform directly and don't have offer configurations in their settings. However, when they start working with PX, client success managers provide them with offers, so statistics regarding conversions and revenue is still available for them in Publisher Conversion and Publisher Daily reports.
API publishers have access to the dashboard, leads, billing, all reports available for common publishers, and two additional reports:
