PX platform has an advanced structure of campaign volume limits, which allows you setting both total daily limits for the campaign and specific limits per publisher, site, and traffic type which your leads are sourced from.
To manage campaign and source specific daily volume, go to Source Management, where you can view and manage the following:
Manage Total Daily Budget and Leads Cap
Along with volume settings on the campaign level, you can set daily leads capacity and budget for the campaign in Source Management using Daily budget and Daily leads cap columns.
The Total row of these columns shows actual daily leads capacity and budget set for this campaign - either standard (the same for all days) or custom (specific for days of the week).
To set the daily budget for the campaign, hover over a Total value in a Daily budget column and click the pencil icon. In a pop-up window that appears, enter a new daily budget and click Save:
If you don't want to limit the daily budget for this campaign, select No limit option.
To change the total daily leads capacity for the campaign, perform the same steps for Total value in a Daily leads cap column:
When you change the daily budget or lead capacity on Source Management page, these settings are automatically applied as a daily volume for this campaign.
If any daily lead capacity and/or budget is reached , leads are not posted to this campaign until the next day starts or this capacity (budget) is increased.
To configure monthly and weekly campaign volume, follow instructions in Campaign Settings article.
Select the Active Source Grouping
For source-specific caps and budgets, only one grouping can be active at once. Check what source grouping is active before you start setting limits.
Usual text color means that souce-specific settings are active and applied to incoming leads, and can be edited on hovering over them:
Light gray color means that settings aren't active at the moment and don’t influence the way this campaign is buying leads. You can't edit caps and budgets until you make this grouping active.
For example, to change the active grouping from traffic type to publisher, hover over a Total value in a Daily budget or Daily leads cap column and click the pencil icon. In the pop-up window that appears, select the desired Publisher grouping and click Save:
To configure source-specific caps and budgets, make sure Group by set above matches Source cap grouping selected.
Manage Daily Budget and Leads Cap per Source
As soon as the active grouping is selected, you can set volume per sources.
For example, to set a $600 daily budget amount for the publisher, hover over the value in a Daily budget column and click the pencil icon. In a pop-up window that appears, enter a new budget for this publisher and click Save.
If you don't want to limit the daily budget for this publisher, select No limit option.
To set the daily leads capacity per traffic type, publisher or site, perform the same steps for a Daily leads cap column:
PX keeps tracking of the current volume and budget for both campaign and source levels. If any source-specific lead capacity and/or budget is reached, leads aren't posted to this campaign until the next day starts or this capacity (budget) is increased.
It's a useful practice to set capacity and budget per traffic type first in order to track high-level campaign performance. Then you can set caps per particular publishers that perform well for the campaign, and then - per specific sites.
