Email post type is used by buyers that get leads by email. If Email is selected, API configuration procedure for this campaign is simplified.
Let’s go through the configuration process. Go to Campaigns, select the desired campaign and click Action -> API Configuration and configure each step:
Step 1: Create Connection
Fill in the required fields as described in the main article and select Email Post Type:
As soon as this type is selected, there is only one block to fill in - Email Delivery:
Enter information into Test Email Recipients and Test Email Subject fields. These two fields are mandatory for this post type, otherwise, emails will not be sent.
- Test CC Recipients (optional) - enter the email address(es) to send them a copy of the email. The list of CC recipients will be visible to all people who receive this email.
- Test BBC Recipients (optional) - enter the email address(es) to send them a copy of the email. The list of BBC recipients is not visible to anyone.
Click Save and Continue to proceed.
Step 2: Map Inputs
Email post configuration is the best case for using Simple View because there is no need to enter the code. Just specify fields from buyer specification, and they will be arranged in a column and sent in the email.
Step 3: Map Responses
In the email setup, Step 3 of API Configuration is pre-configured because the response format is the same for all email campaigns.
Step 4: Send Test Leads
Test your configuration by sending test leads and check if the email is sent to the specified email and includes all fields configured in Step 2.
If complete testing is successful, proceed to the next step.
By default, sender’s email is test@px.com. To change your sender’s email, contact our Support Department.
Step 5: Live Settings
On the last step of configuration, change test emails and subject to live ones (if needed) and click Go Live.
