Buyer specifications often require the information in a particular format, which is different from data format in incoming leads. For this purpose, API Builder has Data Conversion functionality, which allows using specific tags that convert data into a format accepted by buyer API.
There are the following possible conversion types:
Metrics Conversion
In some verticals, leads contain information about the height of the person in Feet (Height_FT) and Inches (Height_Inch) tags. However, in some cases, buyer specification requires sending height in centimeters.
To convert a height value, use Height Total Inches tag:

This tag converts height from feet and inches into centimeters.

Time Conversion
Buyer specifications often require the information about periods of time (age of the person or vehicle, the exact number of years and months since the insurance policy has been contracted, or since the driver license has been received, etc.). However, leads contain only dates in yyyy-MM-dd format, so they must be converted into a format accepted by buyer API.
API Builder has the following options for time conversion:
Age Calculation
To convert the date of birth of the person into age, map the necessary field using Age in Years tag:

Sometimes buyers need to know the exact age of the person in years and months. In this case, use both Age in Years and Age in Months tags:

As long as fields are mapped, the system automates the age calculation.
In Auto vertical, Driver Age in Years and Driver Age in Months tags are used for age calculation:

Vehicle Age Calculation
Age calculation works the same way for vehicles. To convert the vehicle production date into age, use Vehicle Age Years tag:

Put both Vehicle Age Years and Vehicle Age Months if this is required by buyer specification:

Time Conversion for a Driver’s License
To convert the date when the person received a driver’s license into the period of time in years, use Licensed Years tag:

Put both Licensed Years and Licensed Months if this is required by buyer specification:

Time Conversion for Insurance Policy Start Date
To convert the date when the current insurance policy was contracted into the period of time in years, use Years Insured tag:

Put both Years Insured and Months Insured if this is required by buyer specification:
