Live Settings is a final step in the API configuration, where you activate campaign and go live.
This step consists of the following blocks:
Authentication Method and HTTP headers block settings are copied from Step 1 as these blocks are similar. The difference is that Step 1 contains test URLs, while Step 5 - live URLs, where real leads will be sent to this campaign.
However, if buyer does not have testing environment, you can use live URLs in both steps.
Usually buyer specification includes information about Live settings. Otherwise, it can be received directly from the buyer by request.
Ping and Post Parameters blocks list all the fields hardcoded on Step 2.
If there are fields that were necessary only for testing purpose on Step 4, edit or delete them before you go Live.
The lists of ping and post parameters is updated every time Step 5 is loaded, so it is necessary to remove all test parameters each time before going live. The message about this is displayed each time when this step is loaded:
Buyers are allowed to edit Ping and/or Post parameters if API Builder is set to Yes in Access level block of the buyer settings.
Click Save to save the configurations if you are not going to go live right now.
Click Review again to come back to Step 1 and to check all the steps of API configuration one more time.
Click Go live -> Yes in the confirmation window to activate this campaign and start exchanging the leads according to your API configurations.
Make sure you click Go live to put a campaign live before setting up sources in Source Management. Otherwise, no Leads will be sent to this Campaign and Ping/Post response error will be shown in Transaction Outbound Report.
After you go live, the date and time appear on the Steps Panel:
