Date Shifting option allows specifying the time period that is required by buyer specification for cases when there is no such information in the lead.
The Buyer specification can contain requirements for start and end dates of some periods. This is applicable, for example, for insurance policy start and end dates when buyers wish to receive leads with particular expiration dates of the policy.
It is necessary to map all the fields marked as mandatory in buyer specification. However, sometimes there is no such information in the lead. In these cases, Date Shifting option is used, which allows specifying the time period that is required by the specification.
Date Shifting functionality is used when the parameter is mandatory in buyer specification but is not mandatory in PX vertical specification. However, when PX vertical specification does not contain this parameter at all, using Generate Date tag is recommended.
Example. The following field is required in buyer specification:
current_policy_expiration_date - driver's current policy expiration date, in the format YYYY-MM-DD, e.g. '2017-03-30'. Can be a date no more than 30 days in the past, the current date, or a future date.
Map the field, using the following instructions:
1. Enter current_policy_expiration_date={
and select Current Policy Expiration Date tag:
2. On Mapping Panel, set the Custom Date Format according to these instructions.
3. Configure the period requirement specified by entering 0 years and 01 months in Default Value field:
According to this mapping, all leads that do not have such a parameter will show the configured value, and buyer API will get the required field.
